Plainly stated

What this site
knows about you.

Short, because there isn't much. True Brew is a one-person studio, not an advertising business, and nothing here is sold to anyone.

01 / Visits to this site

The site runs Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and typefaces people actually look at. That's how a small foundry works out what to make next.

It records things like which pages you viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and whether you're on a phone or a laptop. It also records when someone clicks through to a checkout, and whether the type tester on a font page gets used. It does not record your name, your email or anything you type into the tester.

If you'd rather not be counted, any browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop it, and the site works exactly the same.

02 / Buying something

Fonts are sold through Gumroad and merchandise through Fourthwall. When you buy, you're on their systems and their privacy terms apply to that transaction.

Card details never reach True Brew. I see that a sale happened and the email address attached to it, so I can send files and answer questions. That's it.

03 / Emailing me

If you email, I keep the email — that's how I answer it and how I remember the conversation if you write again. I don't add you to a mailing list off the back of a support question, and I don't pass your address to anyone.

04 / Other people's code

There's no advertising network, no tracking pixel, no data broker, and nothing sold to anyone. Ever.

05 / Asking me to delete something

Email me and I'll delete what I hold. If you've bought a font I'll keep the record of the sale, because that's your proof of licence and mine — but say the word and everything else goes.
