Before you buy

Licensing
& Support.

Buying a font shouldn't require a law degree. Here's which licence you need, what lands in your inbox, and what happens if something goes wrong.

01 / Which licence do I need?

Every typeface — WOODY, Lady Mae, Playful Sans and OOZE — is sold as one product. $89 covers client work, websites, merchandise and print for up to 3 people. Above that there are two larger sizes, and past those a conversation. The full terms are on the Font Licence page.

The typeface$89Up to 3 people.
Team$249Up to 10 people at one company.
Large Team$999Up to 50 people at one organization.
More than 50TalkEmail me and we’ll size it properly.

There is no Personal tier any more, and no separate desktop, web, broadcast or merch licence to buy on top. If you bought under the old four-tier structure, section 08 of the Font Licence explains where you stand.

Still not sure? Describe what you're making and I'll tell you honestly which one covers it — including if the cheaper one does. Email me.

02 / What you actually receive

Files arrive as a download immediately after payment, and the link stays in your purchase receipt. Nothing ships in the post; there's nothing to wait for.

03 / How buying works

Checkout runs on Gumroad, which handles payment and delivery for the fonts. When you click a licence button you'll land on a Gumroad page carrying the same font name and price you just saw. That's expected — it's the checkout, not a different shop.

Merchandise is separate and runs on Fourthwall, printed to order in the US.

Card details go to those payment processors, never to True Brew. I never see your card number.

04 / If something goes wrong

Fonts are digital files, so they can't be returned once downloaded — that's true of every foundry. What I will do is fix the problem.

Who you're actually emailing

Me. True Brew is a one-person studio in Valencia, California — there's no support queue and no ticket number. tomas@truebrewcreatives.com

05 / Something bigger?

If you need a licence that doesn't fit the four tiers — a very large team, a broadcast campaign, embedding into a product you're shipping, or an exclusive cut of a typeface — that's a conversation, not a checkout button.

Email me about a custom licence, or if you want something drawn from scratch, start a font project.
