Every kid who grew up on Ninja Turtles knows the ooze. The stuff that turned four normal turtles into something else entirely. My son loves it just as much as I did.
So I stole it. Not the ooze itself — the idea of it. A word that already meant transformation, sludge, mutation. Something turning into something else.
It started as a way to draw out "True Brew Creatives" in that dripping, toxic style — something that looked mutated, not designed. A letter-builder kit got the proportions in the ballpark. From there I drew those few letters by hand until they felt right.
Once those letters worked, the rest of the alphabet got built off them — letter by letter, off the bones of the first few. The same way the turtles got built off whatever was in that one barrel.
OOZE wasn't made to fill a gap in a type catalog. It was made while chipping away at a dream, with my kid's favorite thing as the spark.
